Who Is AMBUCS?

Offering mobility and independence for people with disabilities

Cen-Tex AMBUCS Chapter of National AMBUCS, INC strives to improve mobility and encourage independence in our local community. Our network of dedicated volunteers holds fundraisers, provides mobility tricycles and builds home wheelchair ramps. We also work to spread awareness and create more accessible public spaces.

3 ways we serve the disabled community

Personal mobility is a major form of independence. When a person loses the ability to move on their own, they lose part of their individual freedom. Our goal is to restore that freedom.

We fulfill our mission by distributing:

  1. Mobility tricycles: Disabled adults and children can regain independent movement by using Amtryke adaptive tricycles.
  2. Wheelchair ramps: We help make homes accessible by building wheelchair ramps in the local community.
  3. Community Needs: Ambus isn't just about providing mobility. We value the needs of our community as well.
